Hajj 2027 Visa Processing – Latest Requirements
The issuance of Hajj visas becomes possible through registered travel agencies or Hajj Group organizers. The MoRA and Saudi Hajj and Umrah Ministry have approved it.
Timing and Validity of Visa
- Each year, the visas of Hajj get issued from 15th Shawwal to 25th Dhu al-Qa’dah.
- It’s not permissible for the residence or professional reasons and only valid for Makkah, Madinah and Jeddah during the season of Hajj.
- The pilgrims are required to go from the KSA post-Hajj, after the 10th of Muharram.

Core Saudi Hajj Visa Requirements for Pakistani Pilgrims
To get a Saudi Hajj visa as a Pakistani pilgrim, you’ll need to gather these documents:
- Passport Requirements: You’ll need a passport that won’t expire for at least 6 months after your trip, and it has to have at least two blank visa pages in a row.
- Fill Out The Visa Application: The application form needs to be filled out properly, signed by a “Hajj organizer” and stamped – the right sort of organizer is one that’s been authorised by the authorities.
- Recent Passport-Photo: You’ll need to send over a recent colour photo in the right size – the background has to be white, and the whole face needs to be in view. Some Hajj facilitators might want two photos.
- Accommodation and Travel Plans: You’ll need confirmation that your travel and accommodation are all sorted via your approved Hajj facilitator or Tawafa service provider.
- Vaccination Certificates:
- Meningococcal ACWY vaccine: the jab has to have been done recently enough (not more than 10 days before your arrival) and you’ll need to have proof of it all sorted.
- Polio vaccine: this one depends on things like where you’re coming from, and the latest Saudi health regulations.
- Any other vaccines the Saudi Ministry of Health tells you to have.
- Confirmed Return Flight: You’ll need a confirmed flight booked back home.
- Proof of Residency: If you’re a Pakistani citizen living abroad, you’ll need to prove you’ve got the right to live there.
- Mahram Documents (if needed): Women sometimes need to get a special certificate to prove they’ve got a Mahram relationship, and a notarised version if that cert was made in a different country to where they live.
If you’re a Pakistani expat wanting to get a Hajj visa, here’s what you need to do:
- Get Registered: Sign up for the Hajj via the MoRA Hajj 2027 system, or through the banks that are designated for this sort of thing.
- Choose A Hajj Organizer: Pick a private Hajj Group Organizer that has been approved by MoRA and then sign up for their services.
- Gather The Required Documents: Get all your documents to your chosen Hajj facilitator, and they’ll sort your visa application – they’ll deal with the Unified Agents Office and the Tawafa companies in Saudi Arabia.
- Get Your Visa: Once it’s all approved, you’ll get your e-visa or visa stamp through your Hajj service provider, and then when you arrive in Jeddah, the Unified Agents Office will hold onto your passport for a bit – that’s just part of the routine.
FAQs by Pakistani Expats
Have a look at the queries by Pakistani expats taken from travel agency FAQs, YouTube Q/A sessions and Pakistani expats forums.
Q. Is it possible that overseas Pakistanis use Pakistan's quota to register for Hajj 2027?
According to MoRA, the registration by overseas Pakistanis for Hajj from Pakistan is permissible as per the latest policy by the governments of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Q. Do I need a passport at the time of initial MoRA registration?
The very initial step doesn't require a passport's availability. However, it is required during the visa/ dues booking step (including the validity by November 2027).
Q. Can I switch from Government Scheme to Private Scheme post registration?
Generally the answer is yes, subject to MoRA's rules and whether they're accepting new applications at the time. When you sign up they'll ask what kind of hajj package you're looking for but a lot of the systems will let you swap to a private organizer package later on, as long as your details are in their database and they can get you booked in under the private quota. The best thing to do is double check with your Hajj Group Organizer and go through the instructions on MoRA's online portal.
Q. What if I already performed Hajj before? Can I still apply under Pakistan's quota?
Yes, Pakistan doesn't rule out anyone who's already been on Hajj from applying again, but some programmes may give first-time pilgrims priority or have extra quotas set aside, so it's worth checking out the guidelines for this year in the Hajj Policy 2027 document and what your Hajj service provider is looking for.
Q. Can women under 45 perform Hajj without a Mahram under Pakistan’s quota?
Yes, they are allowed to perform Hajj in the absence of a Mahram. However, the requirement is to travel in an organised group. Submission of a notarized no-objection letter is also required by a male relative (must be close). It's better to stay updated with the recent policy and try to confirm it from the Hajj organizer as well.
Q. What documents prove Mahram relationships for women under 45?
The required documents must have:
- Birth certificate with mother's name visible (for son)
- Birth certificate with same parents mentioned (for brother)
- Birth certificate with name of father (for father)
- Nikah Nama (for husband)
However, it would also need notarization and translation if issues arise outside Pakistan.
Q. I live in the Gulf (UAE, Qatar, etc.). Can I do Hajj through Pakistan's private Hajj facilitators while residing there?
There are numerous Pakistani expats who do this in GCC countries.
- Keep a Pakistani passport that must be valid.
- Finish all the requirements in MoRA Hajj registration for 2027.
- Choose MoRA registered private HGO for booking.
- Share the legal residence proof for visa procedures in the host country.
Q. Is a visa for Hajj free? Should I pay any visa fee?
It is totally free of cost. However, you have to pay for:
- Charges for taxes and Hajj organizer services.
- Saudi service charges
- Costs of package (services, transport, hotels, flights).
Q. How long before travel should I submit my documents to the private Hajj organizer?
One should finalize their package and submit basic documents by December 2026 to January 2027 by avoiding delays as Hajj service providers usually start intensive document collection and medical screening from January to February 2027 for departures in April to May 2027.
Q. What vaccinations are mandatory for Hajj 2027?
The Meningococcal ACWY (with ten days before entry), flu vaccine and polio vaccine (specifically for kids).
Keep the original vaccination certificate cards upon arriving during inspection.
Q. What if I lose my passport during Hajj?
Share your concern immediately with:
- Pakistani Hajj Consulate/Mission in Jeddah or Riyadh-based embassy.
- The office of unified agents supervising your group.
- Representative of HGO and group leader.
Q. Can I extend my Hajj visa or stay in Saudi Arabia after Hajj?
It's not allowed at all. Pilgrims are required to leave until 10th of Muharram. If you can't afford fines, it's better to leave on time.
Q. Are children required to have separate Hajj visas?
Children still need separate visas for Hajj. However, there are some lenient rules for children under seven with the decreased service fees. Also, the ones between ages of seven to fifteen can also get the opportunity for fees reduction.
Q. Can I perform Hajj on a tourist or family visit visa?
It is not permissible to perform Hajj on a Umrah, family or tourist visa. There's no room or space for such a policy and the government can't allow this to anyone under any circumstances or situations.
Q. How do I verify if a private Hajj organizer is legitimate?
Check out these key things to verify:
- MoRA's website or the portal - is the Hajj Group Organizer you're eyeing listed there?
- SECP registration
- Compliance with the Hajj & Umrah (Regulation) Act, 2024
- Listen to what past pilgrims and expat communities have to say about the organizer's performance.
- Make sure they're keeping everything above board: Are they using the official PHMP and government account for payments as per the 2027–2030 policy guidelines?
